In an effort to increase diversity at this year’s Conference and Career Fair, Equal Justice Works is offering scholarships to those students who believe they will contribute positively to the diversity of the event. Students at Equal Justice Works member schools who live more than 50 miles outside of the Washington D.C metropolitan area are eligible for this scholarship. This scholarship is intended to support those from historically underrepresented groups (including race, gender identity, ethnicity, sexual orientation, first generation law student, disability, etc.)

Scholarships will be $300-400 and are intended to be used for travel expenses associated with the event. Recipients will be chosen by the National Advisory Committee’s Diversity and Inclusion Working Group.

To apply, please send your name, law school, resume, and response to the following prompt to NAC@equaljusticeworks.org. Submissions will be accepted until October 4, 2018. Scholarship recipients will be notified by October 8, 2018.

In 200 words or less, describe how you contribute to diversity initiatives on your campus and community and how you could bring those efforts to diversifying the 2018 Conference and Career Fair.
