The University of Nebraska College of Law, in partnership with Ms. JD, is hosting Accelerate 2018: Grow. Rise. Lead. on November 1-2, 2018.

This conference is designed to bring together law students from across the Midwest to focus on developing professional skills and building strong networks that will help them succeed both as law students and as professionals. The conference will provide attendees with the opportunity to learn from the unique perspectives and experiences of women lawyers that have succeeded in a variety of positions and settings. Panelists and speakers include judges, partners, nonprofit executive directors, entrepreneurs, associates, and in house counsel, among others.

This conference is part of Nebraska Law’s Women’s Leadership Initiative – an initiative that was launched in March 2017. Since that time, the College has delivered programming that uniquely addresses the challenges faced by women in a historically male-dominated profession and works to support women lawyers through education, skill development, and network-building. Ms. JD is a nonprofit, nonpartisan organization dedicated to the success of aspiring and early career women lawyers.

We believe that there is tremendous value in bringing together law students from across the region in an effort to help women lawyers build professional networks even as law students. Conference registration fees are $150/person. C|M|LAW’s Micro-Grant Program through the Office of Career Planning may be able to provide some financial assistance to students interested in attending; contact the OCP to learn more.

Information regarding the event, including the agenda and a complete list of speakers, along with hotel information can be found at Accelerate 2018: Grow. Rise. Lead. | Nebraska College of Law (law.unl.edu/accelerate2018/) The registration deadline is October 25.
