The Cleveland Academy of Trial Attorneys has organized a law student writing competition with cash prizes! The first place winner will receive an award of $1,500.00 and the second place winner will receive an award of $1,000.00, along with the honor to add to your resume!

The topic this year is: the Seventh Amendment and the Ohio state constitution require that the right to a civil jury trial be “preserved” and “remain inviolate,” yet the number of civil jury trials is at an all-time low in our state. Is the right to civil jury trial still important in modern society? Why or why not?

The deadline is September 30.
