Legal writing competitions can be an excellent way to boost your career, and maybe win some cash along the way! Submitting to a writing competition allows you to develop a deeper understanding of an area of interest to you, which you will then bring to a future employer. And, if your submission wins a prize, you might be published, receive a scholarship, or be invited to attend and be recognized at an industry event. There are literally dozens of different legal writing competitions out there – see the Law Library’s blog for an extensive listing. The following are just a couple of examples of the opportunities out there.
