The Ohio Legal Assistance Foundation (The Foundation) will award two-year Justice for All Fellowships to outstanding recent law school graduates with a passion for public service. The Foundation supports fellowship projects which address unmet civil legal needs facing low income individuals and families in Ohio. Each fellow must work together with an Ohio nonprofit 501(c)3 host organization that has been in existence for no less than three (3) years to develop a proposed project. Fellows will receive a competitive salary, benefits, and up to $6,000 in annual educational loan repayment assistance.

FELLOWSHIP APPLICATION TIMELINE Friday, September 20, 2019 Application is due to the Ohio Legal Assistance Foundation by 5 p.m. EDT Mid-October 2019. Interviews for selected candidates Friday, November 22, 2019 Fellowships announced. September 2020 2020 fellowships begin.

APPLICATION REQUIREMENTS Those submitting an application for the 2020 Justice for All Fellowships must meet the following requirements: You must be a third-year law student or a recent law school graduate who demonstrates a commitment to public interest law. You must be eligible and agree to take the Ohio bar examination in the summer of 2020; OR, be admitted to practice law in Ohio; OR, be licensed in another state and eligible for temporary admission before taking the Ohio bar examination. You must identify an Ohio organization to serve as your host organization and full-time employer during the fellowship term. Together with your host organization, you will propose a project that will allow you to use your legal skills to address civil legal needs faced by low-income individuals and families throughout Ohio.
